If the orbit is 800 greater than the Earth's diameter then we need to add 1,600 to the earth's diameter to get the diameter of the satellite's orbit, as it is 800 in both directions.

12,800 + 1,600 = 14,400 km diameter

The circumference of a circle is π times the diameter. Let us use 3.1416 as an approximate value for π.

That gives us a circumference of 45,239.04 km

If it does that much in 100 minutes, then it will do 6/10 of that in 60 minutes.

45,239.04 x 6/10 = 27,143.424.... so we can round it off to a speed of 27,143.5 kph

What is the total surface area of a satellite that has a diameter of 60 cm?

Assuming the satellite is spherical, the radius is half the diameter, which is 30 cm. The surface area of a sphere is 4 pi times the radius squared. 4 * 3.14 * 30 ^ 2 = 12.56 * 900 = 11304 square cm

Why is your gps clock 3 minutes slow compared to correct time?

The GPS clock is three minutes slow because there isn't as much gravity around the satellite as there is on the surface, which makes time go by more quickly.

Why doesnt a geostationary satellite trace a path over the surface of the earth?

A geostationary satellite does not trace a path over the surface of the earth because that is what geostationary means - the satellite is stationary over a point on the Earth.
