X is greater than or equal to 12
Since a square has four sides of the same length, the perimeter of the square is going to be 17 x 4 = 68 inches.
I believe it is as simple as dividing the circle by the number of cuts that are made. 360 / 8 = 45 The angle of cut or the angle formed is equal to 45 degrees. In order to have 8 equal parts one must make 8 cuts into the circle from the center out. If it were a pizza pie one would make four passes with a pizza cutter across the width of the circle. For our purposes here however we shall define our cuts as being from the center out to the edge of the circle. We do this in order to accomplish any number of parts. ex: I have a swimming pool that has 17 pieces of top rail that need replacing. I am using 2 X 6 lumber. What is the angle of cut that I must make in each 2X6 in order to get 17 equal parts to form a circle? 360 / 17 = 21.xxx degrees I will round the angle to 21 degree and "call it square" as the edges of the lumber will not be joined exactly. To further explain the example - I will take 21 degrees off the 90 degree cut that I would have been making against the length of board. 90 - 21 = 69 The angle of cut on the board will be 69 degrees perpendicular to the length of the board.
The exterior angles of a regular n-gon measure 360/n degrees each and each interior angle is supplementary to its corresponding exterior angle. Thus each exterior angle measures 360/17 degrees which is approximately equal to 21.176 degrees. Each interior angle will then measure 180 - 360/17 degrees which is approximately equal to 158.824 degrees.
The area for a four sided shape is length * width = area.We have the area at 17. We know that length = width. We designated length and width as x. Our new equation isx * x = 17, or x2 = 17.Now we have to isolate x.x = sqrt(17).Solving for x, we get x = 4.123.
4 x 4 + 4/4 = 17
4*4+4/4 = 17
17 fours and 3 left over. 17 x 4 + 3 = 71

All the sides of a rhombus are equal and perimeter of a rhombus is equal to four times the side. Perimeter = 4 x 17 units = 68 units
