An interesting question. I just measured my feet and each one is 11.7 inches long. Therefore, there will be 3.07 of my feet in three feet. Of course, that cannot be correct because I only have two feet so the real answer must be that I can have two feet in three feet.

On the other hand, a centipede can have many more feet in three feet than I have, perhaps up to 300 or more.

If the question refers to feet as in the unit of measurement, then of course, three feet are always in three feet. Mathematical rules support this. For example, the equation 3 = 3 is universally accepted as true. Applied mathematicians also accept that 3 feet = 3 feet.

Using the SI system we can show that three feet are in three feet: We know that there are 304.8mm in a foot and that there are 914.4mm in one yard. We also know (by definition) that one yard is three feet. If we divide 914.3 by 3, we reach the result of 304.8mm which is exactly one foot. So using metric units we can show that three feet are in 3 feet.
