A region of a circle called a pie slice is also called a sector. The sector is one of the main slices of a circle, the other is called a segment.
A slice of pizza is typically in the shape of a sector of a circle. This shape is formed by two radii of the circle and the corresponding arc between them. The angle at the center of the circle that the two radii form determines the size of the sector, and thus, the size of the pizza slice.
