The perimeter doesn't tell you the area. There are an infinite number of different

areas that it could have.

-- If it's a circle with a perimeter of 36, then the area is 103.1324. (rounded)

-- If it's a square with a perimeter of 36, then the area is 81 .

-- If it's a rectangle with a perimeter of 36, then the area can be any number

that's more than zero and less than 81 .
