The area of anything is determined by multiplying length x width.

When you want to find the perimeter of a rectangle you must use the formula 2l+2w. this means 2 time length + 2 times width. so do as the following

*the 2 stands for how many times you multiply your numbers by

P=2l+2w

P=2(# of length)+2(3 of width)

P= # of length times 2+ # of width times 2

P= length width

And this is how you find the perimeter of a rectangle
