178 degrees is the largest angle for an obtuse angle because 180 is a straight angle and 90 degrees is an right angle and below 90 degrees is an acute angle.
Some supposedly say that the answer is 179,But it's not! the reason behind this is because in a triangle all the angles have to add up to 180 degrees. There are 3 points to a triangle so there has to be 2 extra degrees taken off of 180, which equals to 178.
Explanation is terms:
angle A + angle B + angle C = 180 degrees [Sum of supplementary angles of a triangle]
178 degrees + 1 degree + 1 degree = 180 degrees
which makes sense.
I figured this out when i was doing homework...
Hope this helps you other people
An obtuse triangle has an obtuse angle.
A triangle containing an obtuse angle is an obtuse triangle.
obtuse triangle
an Obtuse triangle
There are five different types of triangles named after their angles. Right triangle, Acute triangle, Isosceles Triangle ,equilateral triangle, and obtuse triangle. The Obtuse Triangle is the triangle with an obtuse angle.
the obtuse angle is the largest angle in a triangle. It spreads from 91 to 179 on a protractor
An obtuse angle
An obtuse triangle
An obtuse triangle has an obtuse angle.
acute , obtuse obtuse or right angle
179
A triangle with 1 obtuse angle is called an obtuse triangle.
-- No right triangle, acute triangle, or equilateral triangle has an obtuse angle in it. -- If a triangle has an obtuse angle in it, then it's called an obtuse triangle. -- No triangle can have more than one obtuse angle in it .
its a triangle * * * * * No, it an obtuse triangle is not a right angle triangle. An obtuse angled triangle has one angle which is greater than 90 degrees and the other two are acute. In a right angled triangle, the largest angle is 90 degrees while the other two are acute. So one cannot be the other.
A triangle containing an obtuse angle is an obtuse triangle.
obtuse triangle
No, this statement is not correct. The side opposite the largest angle is the longest side of a triangle only if the triangle is obtuse. In acute triangles, the side opposite the largest angle is the longest side, and in right triangles, the side opposite the right angle (90 degrees) is the longest side.
