Due to the cast molding. If the molding is a regular rectangular trapezoid, there is a tendency that the bar will be stocked (constricted) on the sides of the molding when being cast out, while in a trapezoidal prism, the bottom will not cause any constriction thereby the bar will easily slide out of the molding.
