a constent is a value that never changes. for example number 8. the number 8 is not going to change, it's just 8. a coefficent is a number that multiples a variable. for example: 3n, the number 3 is the coefficent and it always come in front of a variable(in this case the variable is n).

What is the difference between a coefficient and variable?

A variable is a part of a term which can change. A coefficient is a numerical constant, associated with a variable. For example, in the term 3x^2 , 3 is the coefficient, while x is a variable.

Difference between a constant and a coefficient?

Ya mum Constant are numbers which has no units (EG: PYE which is 22/7) . They are just numbers. Where as coefficients have units. . where as Coefficient like alpha the thermal coefficient has units .It is so many mm/meter/ deg C

Explain the difference between a constant and a coefficient?

A constant is a fixed value that does not change in an equation, while a coefficient is a number that multiplies a variable. Constants remain the same throughout a mathematical expression, whereas coefficients can vary based on the context of the equation.

What is the difference between factors and coefficient?

The difference between factors and coefficient is very distinct. A factor is a quantity which is multiplied with another to give a particular number as the result. A coefficient on the other hand is a multiplier that measures property.

Difference between rate constant and specific rate constant?

There is no difference between them they are same rate constant is another name of specific rate constant

What is the difference between a constant and coefficient term?

A constant is always the same number, no matter what formula or equation it is used in (this is different from using the same symbol for several constants, in which case it might be interpreted incorrectly as the wrong constant is used). Some exmaples are pi the circular constant, e the natural number constant and G the gravitational constant. A coefficient is the number multiplying a variable, e.g. in 5x2 and 9y, 5 and 9 are the coefficients of the x2 and y terms.

What is the difference between a constant in a graph and a constant in a experiment?

the difference between a constant in a graph and a constant in a experiment is that when on a graph, the constant is the thing that changes, and in a experiment it is the part that stays the same.

What is a constant coefficient?

In a ploynomial or differential equation or really any formula or equation with variables in it, the coefficients are the terms "in front of" the variable or multiplied the variables. Each variable generally has its own coefficient. If a coefficient is constant (ie just a number) then it is a constant coefficient. eg Consider the polynomial , 3x2+9yx+6 in terms of x. It has one constant coefficient (3), one variable coefficient (9y) and one constant (6).

What is the relationship between two quantites that increase or decrease together called?

If they increase or decrease exactly, then the constant of proportionality or coefficient of proportionality. If not exactly, then a correlation coefficient.
