well, you have to combine the like terms so put the X's together 3X + 2X = 5X and then add the left over numbers together so; 3 + 10 = 13. So you have made the sum easier now it is 5X + 13. You haven't displayed the answer to this question so i cannot work out the rest for you, but what you have to do for example say the answer was: 133, you do 133 - 13 = 120 then divide 120 by 5 = 24 so the example answer would be 24.
Depending on how the problem is written. 2x + 3 - 5x + 10 -3x + 13 ■ Or... 2x + 3 - (5x + 10) -3x - 7 ■ I think you want the second answer.
2x+3 = 3x+5 2x-3x = 5-3 -x = 2 x = -2
2x+3=3x-3 2x-3x=-3-3 -x=-6 x=6
3x+4 = 2x-3 3x-2x = -3-4 x = -7

Ok so 2x + 3x + 2x + 3x = 180.... so combine like terms, 2x + 3x + 2x + 3x is 10x, because 2+3+2+3 is equal to 10, and then so 10x = 180, so divide each side by 10 because the "10" on the left side is multiplying the x, and we want "x" by itself and the opposite of multiplication is division, and 10x/10 is x and 180/10 is 18, so x = 18.
2x+3 = 3x+5 2x-3x = 5-3 -x = 2 x = -2
3x - 3 = 2x + 6 3x = 2x + 9 x = 9
2x+3=3x-3 2x-3x=-3-3 -x=-6 x=6
If 3x + 3 = 2x + 6 then 3x - 2x = 6 - 3 x = 3
6x2 + 11x + 3 = 6x2 + 9x + 2x + 3 = 3x(2x + 3) + 1(2x + 3) = (2x + 3)(3x + 1)
If you mean: 2x-3 = 3x+3 then x = -6
3x+4 = 2x-3 3x-2x = -3-4 x = -7
3x-2 = 2x+3 3x-2x = 3+2 x = 5
5x+7 = 2x-3 5x-2x = -3-7 3x = -10 x = -10/3
