Remember this formula:

This Number IS What Percent OF What Number

Now replace IS with the Equals sign (=)

Replace OF with the Multiplication sign (*)

TN = WP * WN

You may now solve for the absent variable, regardless of position.

Example: "5 is what percent of 45"

5 = WP * 45

Isolate variable by dividing both sides by 45.

5/45 = WP * 45/45

5/45 = WP

0.111111 = WP

Convert answer to a percentage by multiplying by 100, thus the answer is 11.1111%
