Eight feet by eight feet (8' X 8') is a square area. The answer is 64 square feet. But eight times eight feet is 64 (linear) feet, because 8x8=64.
Do you mean the perimeter? That is 2 x (width + length). The surface area can't be expressed in linear feet.
100 Feet IS 100 Linear Feet. If you wanted to know how many linear feet would give you 100 square feet, you would take the square root of 100, which is 10... SO a 10 x 10 linear foot area would be 100 square feet, and a 100 x 100 Linear foot area would be 10,000 square feet.
I don't understand why there are so many questions which seem to show no understanding of the difference between square feet, a measure of area, and linear feet, a measure of length. The deck has an area of 304 square feet.
8 feet X 8 feet = 64 square feet

not possible to covert an area unit to linear unit. If you mean a rectangle of sides 6 and 8 feet. Then the perimeter is 2 x (6 + 8) = 28 feet

14 linear feet one way,32 linear feet the other. Dictionary time?
A linear foot has no width, so no matter how many you have of them, you will never cover a 32 x 30 space.

45 x 3 = 135 feet (without the aid of a calculator) !
Linear footage as referred to in wood or lumber is the length as you see it.For instance a 2 x 4 x 8, is 8 feet long. - In theoretical board feet this is actually 5.333 board feet or practically, 5.0 board feet. ( because a 2x4 is not really that dimension, but 1.5x3.5. )
8 x 6 metres is a length of 48 [linear] metres.
10.8 x 8 = 86.4 square feet.
8 feet X 8 feet = 64 square feet
