yes. you are still moving in a direction, and the wheels are still spinning, and the engine is still running, and the transmission is still being used.
Your engine is not running or your "RPM gauge" is broken.
To change the rotation of a 4-71 GM diesel engine, you must reverse the engine's rotational direction by adjusting the installation of the engine. This typically involves changing the orientation of the flywheel and possibly modifying or replacing the transmission and drivetrain components to accommodate the new direction. Additionally, consult the engine's service manual for specific instructions and ensure that all systems are compatible with the reversed rotation to avoid damage. Always consider the implications on engine performance and vehicle design when making such modifications.
Yes, but why? Its a big job and requires re wiring for engine computer etc The 3.8 GM engine is a more reliable and smooth running engine than the 3.1 GM And the 3.8 generally gets better fuel economy when comparing the cars equally.
A v10 engine contains two sets of 5 cylinders, which are set exactly opposite each other, at a 90 degrees angle. This is to try to eliminate the rocking motion which is evident in a straight 10 engine, however there may still be some motion which can be corrected by two extra balance shafts. This engine makes a unique exhaust sound when running.
If it's running bad the check engine light should be on. Pull the codes or get it scanned to give you direction of where to begin the diagnostics
Smog pump pulley - are there two hoses running off the back somewhere? then it would be the smog pump (recirs engine gases in the crankcase)
it"s just idle condition...the engine will be running > Usually to reverse the direction of rotation in a gearbox etc.
Im not sure which direction the bolt turns to remove the pulley...the crank shaft turns in clock wise direction when engine is running.
what is the running mate in engine
what is the running mate in engine
CW from front of engine, I think but all chevys are the same, just look at one while it is running.

There is coolant in the engine block when the engine is not running. The engine block, heater, hoses and radiator remain full when engine is not running.
