You simply start at the origin (0,0) and you move 3 spots on the grid to the left, to the left, to the left AND since it is a positive 7, you would have to go UP seven spots. :)

x axis, or the abcissa
These are called coordinates.
The pair of numbers used to locate a point on a grid is called coordinate points.

It is a point on the coordinate grid. The grid may be the Cartesian or coordinate plane, or its equivalent in 3 or more dimensions. It could also refer to a grid where the axes are not at right angles to one another (eg isometric grid).
A grid with a horizontal axis and a vertical axis that intersect at a point is called a Cartesian coordinate system. The axes are perpendicular to each other and therefore form four right angles at the point at which they intersect, known as the origin.

Your question doesn't make sense unless this helps : (x,y) there called the coordinates
a coordinate grid is a grid that has coranades on it (ex.(4,7))
its called an ordered pair. it is an x-coordinate and a y-coordinate (x,y)
You simply start at the origin (0,0) and you move 3 spots on the grid to the left, to the left, to the left AND since it is a positive 7, you would have to go UP seven spots. :)

What jobs use coordinate grid?
