To find the SD, you subtract each term from the mean (and there will be some negative numbers) BUT then you have to square these amounts and that will get rid of any negatives. Then you find the sum and divide by the number of terms. The final step is to find the square root. The SD is the positive square root. So there is no way that you can get a negative number for the SD.

Yes, a standard deviation can be less than one.
No. Inventory and engineering work need negative numbers to measure. Also, how can we measure the temperature if it's freezing cold without negative numbers? Integers are needed for calculations and measurements in this world.
A gram is one possible answer.
Absolutely. In fact I would commonly expect it to be. If, for example, the sample mean for the length of a bolt was 5.5 cm, you would certainly hope the standard deviation was a lot less than 5.5 cm. or it would imply bolts with a negative length (not quite sure how you'd do that without breaching some alternate dimension - no pun intended.)
no it is not possible because you have to take the square of error that is (x-X)2. the square of any number is always positive----------Improved answer:It is not possible to have a negative standard deviation because:SD (standard deviation) is equal to the square of V (variance).

In physics, preferable tolerance refers to the acceptable range of error or deviation from an expected value in measurements or experimental results. It is important to keep the tolerance as small as possible to ensure accuracy and reliability in the data obtained.
Without more information, it isn't possible to determine the standard deviation from the mean alone.
it is possible to distribute standard deviation and mean but you dont have to understand how the mouse runs up the clock hicorky dickory dock.
If all four numbers are the same, there is no standard deviation. The mean will be equal to all 4 numbers, resulting in a 0 standard deviation. Ex) 5,5,5,5
You should convert metric measurements to standard US measurements when you need to communicate with someone who is more familiar with the US system, or if the specific context or requirements you are dealing with call for the use of standard US measurements.
Yes.
