when I was finishing concrete, we would use a combination of epoxy glue and decrotive pea gravel. mix the 2 and place on the cement, trowel down smooth and let dry. use marine epoxy or any that is water proof. when dry you can wash it with a hose to get rid of the dirt

There need not be any in the pool, of course. In any case, the answer will depend on the dimensions of the pool which you have chosen not to share - making this an impossible question.

Any unit of volume, such as liters or cubic meters.
It would depend entirely on the shape of the pool. There are round pools, rectangular pools, heart-shaped pools, and almost any imaginable shape of pool. It would also depend on how the bottom of the pool is constructed. Some pools have equal depths. Some have a shallow end and a deep end. In some the pool becomes gradually deeper, in some it drops sharply.
As many or as few as you want. There are an infinite number of possibilities. The capacity also depends on the depth. That means that for any shape pool you have, in any size backyard, you can put 25,000 gallons in it by adjusting the depth.
