If the ratio of similarity is 310, then the ratio of their area is 96100.
The ratio of areas is the square of the ratio of lengths. Ratio lengths = 1 : 2 → ratio areas = 1² : 2² = 1 : 4 → if the lengths are doubled, the areas of quadrupled (multiplied by 4).
Area = length x length Therefore the ratio of areas of two similar objects is the square of the ratio of lengths. Lengths - 1 : 41 Areas - 12 : 412 = 1 : 1681
FAR=Total floor area of building / Total lot area

The following areas are to be excluded from gross floor area for the purpose of computing floor area ratio: (FAR)• Basement, underground parking, and attic spaces.• Porches, balconies, patios, breezeways, and decks (as well as overhangs, eaves, cantilevers, awnings and similarfeatures) with a "solid" cover but not enclosed by "solid" walls on more than two sides.• gardens which do not have a "solid" cover.• Parking structures and garages which are incidental to a primary use on the same site in multi-family, commercial, office, industrial and public/semi-public uses.• Air spaces within buildings such as vaulted ceilings or the air space above an atrium in an office or museum building.More specifically, the floor area shall be counted at the actual floor area only and not in the air spaces above.
If the ratio of similarity is 310, then the ratio of their area is 96100.
Floor Area Ratio
The Floor Area Ratio (FAR) or Floor Space Index (FSI) is the ratio of the total floor area of buildings on a certain location to the size of the land of that location, or the limit imposed on such a ratio. As a formula: Floor Area Ratio = (Total covered area on all floors of all buildings on a certain plot)/(Area of the plot)Thus, an FSI of 2.0 would indicate that the total floor area of a building is two times the gross area of the plot on which it is constructed, as would be found in a multiple-story building.

the p/a ratio is the sum of the perimeter divided by the area therefore if perimeter is 20m and the area 25m2 the sum is 20/25=0.8
How to calculate the net floor area when you know the gross floor area
ratio of areas = (ratio of sides)² ratio of sides = 3 : 5 → ratio of areas = 3³ : 5² = 9 : 25 → area larger = 81 m² ÷ 9 × 25 = 225 m²
