The following areas are to be excluded from gross floor area for the purpose of computing floor area ratio: (FAR)
• Basement, underground parking, and attic spaces.
• Porches, balconies, patios, breezeways, and decks (as well as overhangs, eaves, cantilevers, awnings and similar
features) with a "solid" cover but not enclosed by "solid" walls on more than two sides.
• gardens which do not have a "solid" cover.
• Parking structures and garages which are incidental to a primary use on the same site in multi-family, commercial,
office, industrial and public/semi-public uses.
• Air spaces within buildings such as vaulted ceilings or the air space above an atrium in an office or museum building.
More specifically, the floor area shall be counted at the actual floor area only and not in the air spaces above.
total floor area exclude basement (for parking) and roof top area.
FAR=Total floor area of building / Total lot area
the p/a ratio is the sum of the perimeter divided by the area therefore if perimeter is 20m and the area 25m2 the sum is 20/25=0.8
If the square footage refers to floor area, yes.
reduction ratio= initial cross sectional area/final cross sectional area
whether balcony is included in FAR
total floor area exclude basement (for parking) and roof top area.
FAR=Total floor area of building / Total lot area

Floor Area Ratio
The Floor Area Ratio (FAR) or Floor Space Index (FSI) is the ratio of the total floor area of buildings on a certain location to the size of the land of that location, or the limit imposed on such a ratio. As a formula: Floor Area Ratio = (Total covered area on all floors of all buildings on a certain plot)/(Area of the plot)Thus, an FSI of 2.0 would indicate that the total floor area of a building is two times the gross area of the plot on which it is constructed, as would be found in a multiple-story building.

not really because they are 2 diffrent objects floor and stair hall is only BUILT on the floor witch makes it no.

The parking brake is set by pushing, with your foot, the parking brake pedal on the left side of floor area. It is released by pushing with foot again.
Land coverage and floor area ratio are both determined by square footage. For example, most landscaping or ground clearing isn't permitted on SQ ft bases. A house floor tile , wood, or seamless flooring is determined by sq. ft.
Take the lot size and multiply it by the Floor Area Ratio. For example, on a 5,000 square foot lot with a 2.0 FAR you could construct a building with 10,000 square feet of total floor area (the floorspace of each floor above ground added together). Keep in mind that there are other restrictions as well, such as building height and setback issues that could keep you from using the total allowable building area per your FAR.
