They both have at least one rectangular face.
They are both 3d solid figures based on rectangles.
They both have a triangular shape
Rectangular pyramids and triangular pyramids both have triangular faces.
They are all, technically, prisms.

They are all rectangular prisms!

Rectangular pyramids and triangular pyramids both have triangular faces.
Both pyramids and prisms are three dimensional. Both of them have polygon faces. Another thing common about pyramids and prisms is that they have a base and faces.
They are all, technically, prisms.
Rectangular prisms have two rectangles at each base. Take four lines and connect the four corners perpendicularly of the two rectangles to make a rectangular prism. Rectangular pyrimads only have one rectangle base. Draw four lines from the four corners of the rectangle and make those four lines meet at one point. The way these two are alike is that they both had rectangular bases.
No they are not. Apart from being (3-dimensional) polyhedra, their only similarity is the fact that a rectangular pyramid has a rectangular face and so has a rectangular prism. But a rectangular pyramid has only one, the remaining four faces are triangular. On the other hand, a rectangular prism has only rectangular faces - 6 of them. I guess that is like saying a human is like half a chair because they both have two legs! They are both 3-d objects and they are similar in this one respect even though in every other respect they are different.
Prisms have polygonal cross sections and several rectangular lateral faces. Cylinders have circular cross sections and one curved lateral face.
Both are 3D shapes which are pentahedra, comprising triangles and rectangle(s).
they are the same shape, so they will be alike.
