== == Not EXACTLY, There is soft balls and hard balls. The hard ones go further, doesn't matter which brand. Soft balls are for more feel and more backspin. If you buy expensive SOFT balls then you will have more feeling in putting and more backspin for chipping, irons, etc. For Hard balls, the more expensive go further than the not expensive ones USUALLY, it depends what brand. If you don't know the difference between hard or soft then ask one of the guys in the Golf store. If you want to go far and have an average value ball then I would recommend Nike Ignite (I use this ball and it's really good.) But if you want the expensive ones get Titleist ProV1X, make sure it has the X. And if you want soft balls then get the titleist Pro V1, no X in it.

No you do not need the same amount of force to throw a basketball 3 meters as you would need to throw a golf ball 3 meters. The amount of force required to throw a basketball 3 meters depends on several factors: The weight of the ball: Basketballs are much heavier than golf balls. The size of the ball: Basketballs are much larger than golf balls. The amount of air resistance: Basketballs are much more aerodynamic than golf balls. Therefore you would need to generate more force to throw a basketball 3 meters than you would to throw a golf ball 3 meters.

A complete billiards table to buy would be very expensive, but it is virtually a one off payment. Golf you have to buy clubs, balls and membership (green fees etc) which is continuous for years and years, the price of golf would probably be more than billiards.
Expensive golf balls are nicer to hit, the feel softer and give more feel when you are putting and pitching. A major difference is they spin more so you can hold the green on approach and pitch shots, so this will improve your game. Cheaper golf balls are usually of poorer quality and feel quite hard when hit, they hardly spin at all and give you know feel at all when pitching and putting.

Because it takes more ping-pong balls to contribute any unit of mass than the number of golf balls required to contribute the same mass. This stems from the fact that one golf ball has more mass than one ping-pong ball.
