Thirty Four
No. We use two different kinds of ounce. The "fluid ounce" is a unit of volume. 8 of them make 1 cup, 32 of them make 1 quart, and 128 of them make 1 gallon. The other "ounce" is a unit of weight (force). 16 of them make one pound. These two kinds of "ounce" are completely different things. Aren't you glad we don't have to struggle with the complicated and confusing metric system.
One two thousandth of a gallon.
Your question does not make much sense, because "fraction" and "ounce" are two completely different topics. You could say something weighs 5 1/2 ounces, but that's about it.
There are two quarts in a half gallon.
You would have to drink two 16 ounce bottles. A gallon is 32 ounces.
There are 128 fl ounces in a gallon, so you would divide 128 by two, because its a half gallon, then divide that number by two again because you are counting two ounce scoops as one. So, there are 32 two ounce scoops in a half gallon.
Thirty Four
1/16th of a gallon. Eight ounces are in a cup. Two cups are in a pint. Two pints are in a quart. Four quarts are in gallon.
An ounce is a unit of mass. A gallon is a unit of capacity. The two units are therefore incompatible.
An ounce and a gallon is considered two different units of measurement. An ounce is considered a type of weight, while a gallon is considered a volume.

There are 128 fluid ounces per gallon. So a two gallon can of paint has 256 ounces. Looks like the 270 ounce can is a better buy.
NO...4 quarts make a gallon
256 oz 1 gallon makes 128 ounces and 1 ounce is 0.0078 gallon in U.S measure. There are 8 ounces in a cup, 2 cups in a pint, 2 pints in a quart and 4 quarts in a gallon. That makes 128 ounces in a gallon US. In UK 20 ounces to the pint, 8 pints to the gallon which makes 160 ounces Imperial measure.
