Does the exterior color of cars effect heat retention For example do dark colored cars heat up faster and light colored cars retain heat longer?

Yes, dark colored cars tend to absorb more heat and heat up faster than light colored cars because they absorb more sunlight. However, heat retention is more related to the insulation and materials used in the car's construction, rather than just the exterior color. The interior color and materials, as well as insulation, can also affect how long heat is retained inside the car.
