It doesn't make sense to divide by zero.
Look at the powers of any number, but as you'd asked, let's use 20: . . 20^1 = 20 20^2 = 400 20^3 = 8,000 20^4 = 160,000 20^5 = 3,200,000 ....and so on. . To get from 20^5 to 20^4 we have to divide by 8. 3,200,000 divided by 20 is 160,000. (or 20^4) And to get from 20^4 to 20^3 we have to divide by 8 again. 160,000 divided by 20 is 8,000 (or 20^3) The logical idea is to continue doing this. To go from 20^3 to 20^2 we should divide 20 again. 8,000 divided by 20 is 400. (or 20^2) To go from 20^2 to 20^1 we should divide 20 yet again. 400 divided by 20 is (you guessed it) 20. (or 20^1) Now for the ever important one. We will continue the same formula. To get from 20^1 to 20^0, we should divide again by 20. 20 divided by 20 is.......drumroll please.......1!!!! So 20^0 = 20^1 / 20 = 20/20 = 1. This works for any nonzero number. 0^0 is undefined!!! . I know it's confusing, but it does make sense (in theory lol) Hope I helped!!!!

No Its 0Nope, you can't divide 0 by anything because you can't divide "nothing" by something. You'd still end up with nothing. Like dividing an apple that you don't have - you can't divide it as you don't have an apple. If that makes sense..?

Imagine you have zero cookies and you divide them between zero friends. See, it doesn't make sense. And Cookie monster is sad that there are no cookies. And you are sad that you have no friends. ~Siri
Well, if there are 0 groups of ten then it would just be 0. It just wouldn't make sense plus the factor that they need another way to separate multiplication from division.

The "mod" operator is the remainder from a division. Since you can't divide by zero, "mod zero" doesn't make sense, either (i.e., it is undefined).
Well the way I look at it is... find the total distance between the two numbers and divide by 2. so... -15 is 15 away from 0, and 20 is 20 away from 0. I then add 15 and 20 together to get 35. I take 35 and divide by 2 to get 17.5. From here you can either add 17.5 to -15 or subtract 17.5 from 20. The answer is 2.5 Another way to look at this is with a line so... each period is equal to 1 number, the 0 in the line is the number 0 -15..............0...................20 You can see that the distance is greater on the right side because 20 is farther away from 0 than -15 is. You have to find the total distance between the -15 and 20 and divide by 0.
The methods you could use to calculate the x-coordinate of the midpoint of a horizontal segment with endpoints at 0 0 and 20 0 would be: Divide 20 by 2 Count by hand -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The easiest way to calculate the x-coordinate of the midpoint of any line segment is to add the x-coordinates of the end points together and divide by 2; similarly for the y-coordinates. In this case, the x-coordinate of the midpoint is (20 + 0)/2 = 20/2 = 5
Add the x coordinates then divide by 2 Add the y coordinates then divide by 2 Therefore midpoint is at: (10, 0)
if you have 20% of 750 you divide 20 by 100 which would make 0.2 Then you partition 750 which would give you 700 50 0. Then, you divide 700 by 100 to give you 7 and you divide 50 by 10 to make 5. 0.2 x 7 = 1.4 and 0.2 x 5 = 1.0 you then times 1.4 by 100 = 140 1.0 x 10 =10 140 + 10 _____ 150 _____ so your answer is 150.
