∙ 13y agoThe plane upon which the Earth travels round the Sun is called the ecliptic.
It is only when two bodies are on this plane, and in line with the Sun, that an eclipse is observed. Hence the name ecliptic.
The Earth's spin axis is always oriented about 23.4 degrees from the ecliptic plane.
The Earth's spin axis is never perpendicular to the Sun's rays.
You may be referring to the Sun being directly overhead at the Equator twice per year.

equilateral triangle ;)
NoIf the slope of a given line is x, than the slope of the line perpendicular to the first line is 1/-x. So if the first slope is negative, the second will be positive, and vice versa.

The first geometric shape that comes to mind with no perpendicular sides is a triangle.

The first layer of the Earth's atmosphere is called the troposphere, and it is in direct contact with the Earth's surface. This layer is where weather events occur and where most of the Earth's clouds and precipitation are found. Temperature usually decreases with altitude in the troposphere.

The first procedure-oriented programming language is considered to be Fortran (short for Formula Translation). It was developed by IBM in the 1950s for scientific and engineering computations.
TRUE:: The first two lines lie in the same plain, but are perpendicular to each other. The third line passes through the plane of the first two lines so it is also perpendicular. Think 3-dimension. !!!!!

If the rungs are perpendicular to one side of the ladder, then they must be parallel to the other side of the ladder. This is because if one side is perpendicular to the rungs, the other side, being parallel to the first side, will also be perpendicular to the rungs.
(linear speed) = (rotational speed) x (radius or distance from the center) To use consistent measures, use radians/second for rotational speed, meters for the radius, and meters/second for the linear speed. If you know rotational speed in some other unit - for example, rpm (rotations per minute) - convert to radians per second first.
