Area is probably not enough on its own. Consider rectangle with area of 60 sq in. Just using integers it could be 1 x 60, 2 x 30, 3 x 20, 4 x 15, 5 x 12 or 6 x 10...

If however area is eg 65 sq in then it would be reasonable to assume it was 13 x 5. This applies to any area which is a multiple of two prime numbers, (always assuming that width is greater than 1!)
