∙ 14y agoA proper fraction, that is, one with no whole number part, for which the denominator of the fraction is an integral power of ten, may be converted to a decimal of the form:
decimal point followed by one fewer zeros than the power of ten in the denominator, followed by the numerator of the fraction.

∙ 14y agoTo convert a fraction into a decimal divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number). When the fraction is as simple as possible (no common factor between the numerator and denominator other than 1) and the denominator has any prime factor other than 2 and 5, the resulting decimal will be recurring.
First, we convert 58% to decimal form which is 0.58. Then, we convert 0.58 into fraction which is 58/100. If you want it in the simplest form, find the highest common factor beween 58 and 100 and divide both of them by that factor. In this case, the highest common factor is 2. So, the simplest form of 58/100 would be 29/50.
It is usually a fraction, as it is usually shown in a ratio. Decimal and percentages can be used though.
If the denominator of the fraction in its lowest form, has any factor other than 2 or 5 then it will be a repeating decimal.
When the fraction is in its simplest or reduced form, if the denominator has any factor other than 1, 2 or 5, it will not be possible to express the fraction as a terminating decimal.
I think it's more likely that you want a decimal converted to a fraction. If that's 0.0475, the equivalent fraction is 19/400

A conversion factor is a fraction that is always equal to 1. This allows you to convert between different units by multiplying the quantity you have by the conversion factor.
It is a fraction whose denominator has a factor other than 2 or 5.
