well:

Multiplication: for example... -1 X -1= 1(positive) so a negative times negative is always come out positive.

Same thing as dividing too.

Example:

-x + 2= 0

-x= -2 then buy multiplying by -1

(-x= -2) -1

x= 2

Addition and subtractions:

5- (-2)=

because the negative is subtracted it become positive

5 + 2= 7

5 + -2= 3

become positive, because negative 2 is added to a higher positive number.
