where the number of multiplications = (n-1).

β 11y agoIf you have 3 to the power 2 to the power 2, without any parentheses, you have to calculate from right to left. In this case, calculate 2 to the power 2; then calculate 3 to the power (whatever the result you get). If there are parentheses, do the calculation in parentheses first.
