In adding or subtracting dissimilar fractions, you will need first to get its LCD or least common denominator.

For example:

3/2 + 5/3 = ?

We will get the LCD of two and three and we will get 6

So the equation will become: 9/6 + 10/6

Then the final answer will be : 19/6
