To get a square measurement of a width and length you multiply them together.

for example (width) 3ft x (length) 4ft = 12 square ft

It works the same with any unit of measurement

say the sq ft was 30

30=LxW

so the l and w could be

6 & 5

10 & 3

15 & 2

30 & 1
