It's easier to solve a problem if you break it up first. -3 - 11 - (-2).

A trick that will help you is when you see a double negative (11 - (-2)) you can switch the double negative into a positive (two wrongs makes a right?).

It should look like this now -3 - 11 + 2. Since there is no other order of operations (PEMDAS) you simply start from the left and work to the right.

-3 - 11 = -14.

-14 + 2 = -12.

Your answer should be -12. Hope this helps.
