Think through the question. You know how many inches are in one foot. You know the concept of a square - so one square foot has 12 inches on each side. Now you know how many square inches in a square foot, and in the case of your desk, there are 2 and one half of them. Sum them and what is your answer?
One square foot is 144 square inches. If you know the area in square inches, divide that by 144 to get square feet. If you know the area in square feet, multiply that by 144 to get square inches.
As we know that 1 Square inch = 0.00694444444 Sq. Foot Then 18 x 0.00694444444 = 0.125 ( answer)
Zero, null, nada Square feet is unit of measurement for area Meter is a linear measurement so.... if you meant how many square feet in a square meter, then you need to do a conversion from SAE to metric, this is most likely homework and its in your book somewhere. so heres how you do it i= number of inches in one meter ((i)(i))/((12)(12)) so its number of inches in one meter times the number of inches in one meter This tells you how many square inches are in a square meter Next we need to know how many square inches are in a square foot 12 inches per foot 144 square inches per square foot (12 times 12)(foot times foot) so now take your first product: i times i and divide it by 144, it should be around nine. I just realized I made that way more complicated than it has to be, but you should do some of your own work anyhow
1 foot = 12 inches 2 inches/12 inches = 2/12 = 1/6

i dont know thats why im asking One square foot is 144 square inches so 64 square inches would be smaller.
One square foot is 144 square inches. If you know the area in square inches, divide that by 144 to get square feet. If you know the area in square feet, multiply that by 144 to get square inches.
You probably know that "foot" is bigger than "inch", and that might lead you to suspect that "square foot" is bigger than "square inch". You'd be right. 1 square foot has 144 square inches in it.
Okay let's say you have a rectangle. The length is 36 inches and the width is 12 inches. You know to find the area in square inches, just multiply length times width. So 36 inches X 12 inches = 432 square inches. In order to turn that into square feet, just take the square inches and divide by 12 because there are 12 inches in a foot. So 432 square inches divided by 12 equals 36 square feet. Not so there are 144 square inches in a square foot, divide by 144

No square unit is equal to any un-squared unit."Foot squared" is an area, but "inches" are lengths. If you want to, you can convert 4 foot squared to inches squared, but not to inches. This is how you would do it:First, you need to know the basic measurement conversion. 1 foot = 12 inches. Also, you need to know that a number squared is that number times itself.1 foot = 12 inches(1 foot) squared = (12 inches) squared = (12 inches) x (12 inches) = 144 inches squared.4 foot squared = 576 inches squared.
To convert inches to square inches you need to know 2 different dimensions of an object. The 2 dimensions have to be in inches or converted into inches. Here is an example: The front of an object is 1 foot tall by 8 inches wide, what is the objects area in sq. inches. Solution: Height is 1 foot or 12 inches and the width of the object is 8 inches. 12 inches x 8 inches = 96 sq. inches.
To find the number of inches in a room that is 264 square feet, you would first need to know the dimensions of the room. Once you have the length and width in feet, you can convert them to inches (1 foot = 12 inches) and then multiply the two measurements together to get the total square inches in the room.

well i don't know about centimeters but of the top of my head there are 12 inches in a foot
1 foot = 12 inches 2 inches/12 inches = 2/12 = 1/6
