pretty much the same as a normal fraction
For example
if you have 64/32 =2
32 goes evenly in 64 2 times
112/5 = 22 2/5
5 goes into 112 22 times with 2 remainder so you put your remainder back over the original denominator
You can also divide the numerator and denominator by the same number if u want to keep it an improper fraction
so you can reduce 6/4 to 3/2 by dividing 6 and 4 by two. If you do it this way, the resulting numerator and denominator must be whole numbers
