How to solve long division problem:

- When dividing two numbers, the dividend and divisor; the answer is the quotient.
- Make note of where decimal points is in the dividend and divisor.
- Simplify the long division problem by moving the decimals of the divisor and dividend by the same number of decimal places.
- Keep the numbers lined up straight from top to bottom.
- After each step, be sure the remainder for that step is less than the divisor. If it is not, there is a problem - check your math.
- In the end, any left over is called the remainder

Not sure about the first part of the question, but when doing long division, the partial answer is multiplied by the divisor to get a product, which then is subtracted from the dividend, to see how much is left over.

yes

lets say that you're doing a division problem that looks just like a multiplication problem. lets say its 10 divided by 5 so 2x5 equals 10 so the missing number in the problem is 2 MORE TO COME

It depends on the problem you are trying to solve. like; 2x + 3 = 13. it would be "5". (Multiplication.) or x/3 = 6. x= 18. this is a division problem. Like I said, it all depends on your problem.

its a type of doing division by using different opertions or an easy way to solve a division problem....

It is called long division because you write down all the numbers for each step to solve the problem and for large numbers there is a lot of writing down. There is a technique called short division which is similar but is more mental, not requiring all the long division steps. But it is usually done only when you are dividing by a small number less than 10, so it is not that useful.

Division by any non-zero number is the same as multiplication by its reciprocal.

No divide means you determine how many times a number can go into another a problem is something you must solve but can be any type of math, including division.
