The location of the number 5 cylinder depends on the engine configuration. In a typical inline engine, the number 5 cylinder is usually the fifth cylinder from the front. In a V-engine, it can vary by manufacturer, but often it's located on one of the banks of cylinders, commonly the left bank. Always refer to the specific engine manual for precise cylinder numbering.
Passenger side, front of engine.
that would be specific to the object involved. for example, if you needed to find the surface area of the inside of a cylinder in an engine, i could help you find out how much that cylinder can displace, helping you find horsepower for that cylinder. then you could multiply that number by the number of cylinders the engine has to give you the total horsepower of the engine.
Number one is ALWAYS the first cylender on the front left side of the engine......
On a 1.2 Renault Clio Grande, the number 1 cylinder is typically located at the front of the engine, closest to the timing belt or chain. In a standard inline four-cylinder configuration, the cylinders are numbered from front to back, so the first cylinder is at the front left side when facing the engine. Always refer to the specific service manual for precise details related to your vehicle's engine layout.
On a Toyota 2.7 engine, the number 3 cylinder is typically located on the driver's side of the engine block. In a four-cylinder engine layout, the cylinders are numbered from front to back, with the number 1 cylinder at the front. Therefore, the number 3 cylinder is the third cylinder back on the driver's side.

On a 4-cylinder engine with a firing order of 1342, if number 1 cylinder is on the exhaust stroke, the number 3 cylinder will be on the induction stroke.
the number one cylinder is at the front of the engine where the belts are and number4 is at the other end
The Toyota Echo has an inline 4 cylinder engine. The number one cylinder on all inline 4 cylinder engines is the first piston at the front of the engine. The front of the engine is the end that is opposite the transmission.
In a typical inline engine configuration, cylinder number 3 is often positioned in the middle of the engine block, following cylinder number 1 and cylinder number 2. In a V-engine, the numbering can vary depending on the manufacturer, but cylinder number 3 is usually located on one of the banks. The exact location and designation can vary based on the engine design, so it's important to refer to the specific engine's service manual for precise information.

It is exactly what it says. The number of valves the engine has per cylinder. If you have 16 valves on an 8 cylinder engine, you have 2 valves per cylinder.
