you do 5 x 3 - 7 + 18 / 3.

Because if you follow order of operations you would multiply first:

5 x 3 = 15

15 - 7 + 18 / 3

Then you would divide:

18 / 3 = 6

15 - 7 + 6

15 - 7 = 8

8 + 6 = 14

Hope this helps!! i had this same question for math and then I realized I wasnt following order of operations!! its always paranthesees, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction!

m = 3

3x+5=14 3x+5-5=14-5, -5 on both side 3x=9 (3x)/3=9/3, dividing by 3 on both side, so x=3

It equals 88 10/3 = 50/15 12/5 = 36/15 3 and 1/3 - 2 and 2/5 = 14/15

y = 3 This is how I solved it: 3y-14 = -5 +14 +14 (add 14 to both sides) 3y = 9 3 3 (divide both sides by 3 to get y alone) y = 3
