How does a 5.25 inch drive differ from a 3.5 inch?

Now a days most of the storage device we are using i.e hdds are 3.5 inch , few years back we used to have 5.25 inch FDDs & Hdds.

The only difference between these two is their size/form factor, 5.25 inch drive is bigger than 3.5 inch one.
