pi is just a number, it is not a machine. It is defined as the circumference/diameter of any circle, the result although defined by a ratio is an irrational number (can't be writt
en as a ratio of integers).
Pi is also, 3.14, as in the distance of a circle.
The value of pi = circumference/diameter
Circumference = pi*diameter or 2*pi*radius
Twice the radius times pi or the diameter times pi
The area sector of a circle needs pi to work it out.
Yes

Twice the radius times pi or the diameter times pi
The area sector of a circle needs pi to work it out.
Yes
pi times the radius squared or pi (approx 3.14) times the diameter
The circumference of a circle is (pi) x (diameter), or (2 pi) x (radius).
The question is in really bad english, but I'm guessing your meant: 'How do I work out the diameter using pi?' Diameter= Radius2 You don't need to use Pi to work out the diameter. Unless you have a question that doesn't show you the radius. Then you do Area divided by Pi which equals the Diameter.
It is not practical to work with the actual value of pi, because there is no actual value of pi. We all know that pi more or less equals 3.14159265 . . . but the number of decimal points in pi never ends. 3.14159 is extremely precise, and works for most uses.
It is pi r 2
