FYI I asked this question but I want to add that the half hour walk is on flat terrain, asphalt actually and I am 5'5" and 250 lbs (which is why I've been walking, usually longer but I'll take any walking I can get) if that factors in at all. Thanks for any help!

At a brisk pace (4 miles per hour) it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Depends what speed you walk, but allow an hour to an hour and a half. A meandering stroll might take a bit longer.
15 minutes per mile is 4 miles per hour ( that is a fast pace). In three hours you would walk 12 miles
The number of hours it takes to equal a mile depends on the speed at which you are traveling. If you are walking at a brisk pace of around 3-4 miles per hour, then it would take you approximately 15-20 minutes to walk one mile. However, if you are driving or running, it would take significantly less time.
