You are missing one of the dimensions if you want to determine cubic feet. The square footage of a 3'x6' rectangle would be 18 sq ft. You simply multiply the two dimensions (assuming they are already the same unit of measure.) Lets say the rectangular prism is 3'x6'x3' the cubic feet would then be 90 cubic ft. The formula for cubic feet of a rectangular prism is 2ab+2bc+2ac. In this example the formula looks like this, 2(3x6)+2(6x3)+2(3x3)=90.
