Human beings vary a lot in weight, ranging from babies which can weigh as little as one pound, to morbidly obese people who can weigh up to a thousand pounds, but a reasonable average weight is about 150 pounds; using that figure, 4 tons is 8000 pounds, and 8000/150 = 53 and a third. Call it 53 humans, to make 4 tons. But if you chose the fattest people on Earth, you would need only 8 of them.
