First I find cubic feet.
30x48 divided by 3 for 4 inches thick. 480 cubic feet
27 cubic feet make a cubic yard.
480 divided by 27=17.8
I'd order 18 yards but also tell the ready mix company what I was doing so I wouldn't waste money.
