You multiply the unit cost by the number of units. The product of y and 4 is 4y.
this is a simple question that requires a little bit of substitution. before making hte 2 equations, we need to define our two unknowns, so let x= cost of pens y= cost of pencils therefore 15x + 20y= 20x = 15y -5x = -5y therefore x=y Hence, the cost of the pens and the pencils is the same.
x =shirt y =sweater shirt + sweater = $40 x + y = 40 shirt + 12 = the price of the sweater (price of the sweater is $12 more than the shirt) x + 12 = y x + y = 40 x + (x + 12) = 40 2x + 12 = 40 2x + 12 - 12 = 40 - 12 2x = 28 2x / 2 = 28 / 2 x = 14 x = shirt = $14 IF... shirt + sweater = $40 x + y = 40 14 + y = 40 14 + y - 14 = 40 - 14 y = 26 y = sweater = $26
That means that "y" is 6.3 times as much as "x".
If you have two numbers X and Y then One method of comparison is to calculate X - Y. If the answer is positive then it tells you how much more X is compared to Y. If the answer is negative then it is how much more Y is compared to X. If Y is not 0, then X/Y tells you how many times X is compared to Y.
How much do they cost? Price starts at US$ 65,000 for a standard J model, and the X model (which is the very high performance, heavily customized version) starts at US$ 81,000. Because each Seabreacher is custom built to order, we can accomodate almost any special requests, from intricate airbrushed paint schemes to personalized interior treatments.

The Innespace Seabreacher watercraft (recreational and racing models available) was introduced to the consumer market by Innespace, Inc., in 2006. It isn't a submersible or submarine by any definition, however, as its positive buoyancy keeps it from diving from any extended length or depth. It's depth capability is barely deeper than its size - 5 feet. Since its engine needs air to run, it can't run submerged. Follow the link below to Innespace Corporation's Seabreacher.
