Percentages are simply hundredths. For example: one third is 33 hundredths (approximately) 33/100 that is 33% = 0.33
*To find a percentage of a percentage I find it easier to multiply the decimals (and keep good track of the decimal point's position!)
so 12% of 150% = 0.12 * 1.50 = 0.18 or eighteen percent (18%)
Because that it s harder to work out percentages than fractions and decimals
27/50 = 54/100
Double it - to give 90 out of 100 - or 90%
Percentages are always use when comparing one number to another. With you only providing one number Percentages doesn't work very well.
Percentages are percentages - simple! The marketing people have not yet come up with "new improved" percentages.
Most people work with percentages in one way or another.
work out the math
You can't

Statisticians would want to know that information.
They are smart and know everything
When working with percentages, it is best not to round during the actual work. Only when you have your final answer do you round to the nearest hundredth. e.g. 96.54
27/50 = 54/100
4.1/22.20 = 18.5% approx.
No, I do not.
