Perhaps it's because in a fire, it's faster to evacuate people in a single-story building? == People who work in a single story building come into contact with one another more often, which leads to collaboration and, possibly innovation. It would be easier to retool the area and move areas around as needed.
depending on the building there is about 3 metres ( 10 feet ) per storey, so it would be 6 storeys high. if the storeys are 15 feet then yes 60 feet would equal 4 storeys

The whole story is about a journey. There would be jumped, as when Bilbo jumped over Gollum. Jewels of course, as they sparkled in the dragon's lair. And there is the jug of wine that the head guard drinks and falls asleep on.
Building stories have an average height of 10 or 11 feet, so a 13 story building would be about 130 to 143 feet tall.

A building with four floors (levels) would be a "four-story building." In the UK, this would be spelled "four-storey."
There is no set height for a story, however, in a high rise building, it probably averages 12 ft per floor (story). That would be ABOUT 312 feet.
You can use feet or meters to measure the height of a 10-story building.
