The first number in a subtraction. The number from which another number (the Subtrahend) is to be subtracted. Example: in 8 − 3 = 5, 8 is the minuend.
Do you know how to find the area of a circle when you know the radius ? Good! Do that. Do you know how to find the area of a square when you know the length of the side ? Good! Do that. Now you have two numbers ... the area of the circle and the area of the square. The problem wants you to find the difference of these two numbers. Do you know how to use subtraction to find the difference of two numbers ? Good! Do that.
I dont know why not ask some math geek
In order to know which operation, you have to find the keywords. EX: how many more, difference, sum, total, etc.
well i dont know but maybe they dont have a difference well i dont know but maybe they dont have a difference well i dont know but maybe they dont have a difference well i dont know but maybe they dont have a difference well i dont know but maybe they dont have a difference well i dont know but maybe they dont have a difference
Present Value ------------------- You know what something WILL be worth in the future, and you want to find out what it should sell for today. Future Value ------------------- You know how much something is worth now, and you want to find out what it will be worth in the future.
In subtraction, the minuend minus the subtrahend equals the difference.

I have a new way in checking answers in subtraction. If you have the answer, subtract the minuend to the difference then, if the answer is the subtrahend the answer is correct. Here is an example. E.g. 13738724-11234689=2504035 Check = 13738724(the minuend)-2504035(the answer)= 11234689 Another simple example. E.g. 67-23=44 Check= 67(minuend)-44(answer)=23(subtrahend) Thanks and God Bless You! NOTE: I do not know if anyone also knows this trick!
The Greeks used a combination of addition and subtraction to perform subtraction in their numeral system. They would determine the difference between two numbers by adding the complement (the number that, when added, would equal the base of the numeral system) of the subtrahend (the number being subtracted) to the minuend (the number being subtracted from). This process involved breaking down the numbers into their place values and performing the necessary computations.
1000-450 equal to = 550

I don't know the answer can't find it.
In the expression 8 - x, "8" is the minuend and "x" is the subtrahend. When you subtract x from 8, you are finding the difference between the two values. The result will vary depending on the value of x.
, i m also seraching for this if i know why should i try to find it
