Yes, but not without leaving a remainder. A clever way of finding out if a number is divisible by 3 without remainder or not, is to add together the integers that make up the number, if the sum is a multiple of 3, you can divide by 3 without remainder.

e.g. 135: 1+3+5=9, and 135/3=45
1,852,617: 1+8+5+2+6+1+7= 30, and 1,852,617/3= 617,359

Check for yourself, it works.

Oh, and 256/3 = 85.33333333...
