Side-Angle-Side is a rule used in geometry to prove triangles congruent. The rule states that if two sides and the included angle are congruent to two sides and the included angle of a second triangle, the two triangles are congruent. An included angle is an angle created by two sides of a triangle.
false
Side Angle Side is a method of determining a unique triangle. Any triangle can be congruent to another if the sides are proportional and the angles are the same.Yes. If you draw the 2 sides with the angle between, there is no alternative to the way you can finish off the triangle. Try it for yourself.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe triangles can be "equal", only congruent. The measurements can be equal, but not the triangle itself. The triangle congruency postulates and theorems are:Side/Side/Side Postulate - If all three sides of a triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.Angle/Side/Angle Postulate - If two angles and a side included within those angles of a triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.Side/Angle/Side Postulate - If two sides and an angle included within those sides of a triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.Angle/Angle/Side Theorem - If two angles and an unincluded side of a triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.Hypotenuse/Leg Theorem - (right triangles only) If the hypotenuse and a leg of a right triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.
its a shortcut to tell whether two triangles are congruent to each other or not its a shortcut because you can tell it without having to use geometric tools. There are Four types of them SAS (side angle side) ASA (angle side angle) SSS (side side side) and SAA ( side angle angle), in first one , if two sides and one included angle is congruent to two side and one included angle of another triangle then both triangle are congruent to each other. Second is ASA,, if two angles and one included side are congruent to two angles and one included side of another triangle then they both are congruent to each other. and so on like other one's too (hope you understand my point here). only two cases are not possible here and those are ASS (angle side side) because its not necessary if one angle and two sides are congruent to something then they will be congruent to each other , and the other false statement is AAA (angle angle angle) you could easily have one really small triangle with the same angles of a really big triangle but they will not be congruent so this conjecture would not work.
You need SAS (side angle side), SSS (side side side), ASA (angle side angle), AAS (angle angle side) or CPCTC (corresponding parts of congruent angles are congruent)
If two angles and the included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.
side angle side means if two sides in their included angle in one triangle are congruent to the corisponding parts of the second triangle then the triangles are congruent so only if they are congruent. i need it for a classs...
If two sides and the included angle of one of one of the triangle are congruent to two sides and the included angle of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.
A triangle if not found congruent by CPCTC as CPCTC only applies to triangles proven to be congruent. If triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF because they have the same side lengths (SSS) then we know Angle ABC (angle B) is congruent to Angle DEF (Angle E)
Yes they are. Or they could have three pairs of congruent sides, or they could have one pair of congruent angles and two pairs of sides. As far as a triangle goes, if you have at least three pairs of congruent sides or angles they are congruent. This answer is wrong. The triangles are only similar. For congruent trisngles we have the following theorems = Side - side - side, Side - Angle - side , Angle - angle - side, Right triangle - hypotenuse - side.

The Angle Side Angle postulate( ASA) states that if two angles and the included angle of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side of another triangle, then these two triangles are congruent.

two angles
Two triangle are congruent by either SAS(Side Angle Side), AAS(Angle Angle Side), or ASA(Angle Side Angle). In right triangles you can also use HL(Hypotenuse Leg).
