No, NBA 2K12 is better than Saints Row 3. If I was you I would wait until SR3 goes down in price to get it and just get 2K12. SR3's gameplay is alright but it is just far too unrealistic. 2K12's gameplay is way better and it's way more realistic. I only own 2K and I've play SR3 at my buddy's house.
This is only based on what I like, I can't really decide for you. I'd rather play a sports game than a free roam/shooting game. Now if you're looking for an even better game chose Skyrim. It's medival/free roam and I love it I play it all the time. But I still play 2K because it's one of the best games of the year.
