If a and b are two vectors and the vector product of vector a and vector b is equal to a minus b then prove that a equals b?

The question is not correct, because the product of any two vectors is just a number, while when you subtract to vectors the result is also a vector. So you can't compare two different things...

Can a vector be added to a scalar?

No- vector ad scalar are two different things. Scalar consists only of magnitude, whereas vector consists both magnitude and direction.

Vector that shows the combined effect of two or more vector?

Resultant vector or effective vector

Is it possible for vector A plus vector B to equal vector A - vector B?

It's impossible as the addition of two vectors is commutative i.e. A+B = B+A.For subtraction of two vectors, you have to subtract a vector B from vector A.The subtraction of the vector B from A is equivalent to the addition of (-B) with A, i.e. A-B = A+(-B).

Can two vectors of unequal magnitude add up to give the zero vector?

No. The vector resultant of addition of vectors is the vector that would connect the tail of the first vector to the head of the last. For any set of vectors to add to the zero vector, the endpoint of the last vector added must be coincident with the start point of the first. Therefore for the sum of only two vectors to have a chance of being the zero vector, the second vector must be in a direction exactly opposite the first. So you can tell that the result of adding the two vectors could only can be zero vector if the two vectors were of two equal magnitude.

What are the two things that a vector tells you?

A vector tells you both the magnitude (length) and direction of a quantity in space.

If something is a vector does that just mean it is the product of two things and does not necessarily just have magnitude and direction?

No. A vector means the quantity has a direction as well as a magnitude.

What is the sum of two vectors A.addition vector B.distance vector C.resultant vector D.displacement vector?

The sum of two vectors is called the resultant vector. It is the vector obtained when adding two or more vectors together. The displacement vector is a specific type of vector that represents the change in position of an object.

Resultant vector or effective vector

A force vector describes what two things about a force?

A force vector describes both the magnitude (strength) and the direction of a force.

The sum of two or more vectors is called a blank vector?

The two vectors are P & Q..Sum of the two vecotors is P+Q=R..R Is called the resultant vector of this two vector..the action of the resultant vector R is equal to the actions of two vectors P & Q..

What is the resultant of two vector quantities?

The resultant of two vector quantities is a single vector that represents the combined effect of the individual vectors. It is found by adding the two vectors together using vector addition, taking into account both the magnitude and direction of each vector.

What two vectors does a vector have?

A vector has both magnitude (the size or length of the vector) and direction. These two characteristics define a vector and differentiate it from a scalar, which only has magnitude.

Why is Vector resolution the opposite of vector addition?

Vector resolution involves breaking down a single vector into its horizontal and vertical components, while vector addition combines two or more vectors together to form a resultant vector. They are considered opposite processes because resolution breaks a single vector into simpler components, while addition combines multiple vectors into a single resultant vector.

Which operation gives a resultant vector?

adding two or more vectors
